Fun and function come together perfectly in each design by Jerszy Seymour. Born in Berlin in 1968 and brought up in Canada and the UK, this talented designer is now based in Milan where he has set up his own studio. Famous for his colorful and playful creations, Seymour studied engineering design at London’s South Bank University and earned his masters in industrial design from the Royal College of Art. Appreciated by many for his distinctive creativity, Seymour is also known for his innovative use of materials like polyurethane and polyethylene. He has designed various items such as kids rocking chair and kids outdoor chairs for several major companies including Magis, Sputnik, Covo, Swatch, Perrier, L’Oreal and Smeg. For Magis Jerszy Seymour has designed rocking chair, which was highly appreciated. In 2000 Seymour won the Dedalus Award for European Design and three years later the Taro Okamoto Memorial Award for Contemporary Art.
