Fred Bould
Fred Bould is fascinated by the play among light, shadow and water in motion. This enchantment with transient shapes and forms is manifest in his graceful creations in Nambé metal and crystal.
Born and reared in Pittsburgh, he earned a degree in industrial design at Carnegie Mellon University and spent the early years of his career freelancing designer lamp for several influential London design studios. Fred Bould also created a number of fascinating designs of designer lamp for Pablo Pardo. He received an MA in Product Design from Stanford University and remains in Palo Alto, California, where he opened his studio of lighting exhibiting products such as designer floor lamp in 1995.
