Pablo was founded in 1993 by Venezuelan born industrial designer, Pablo Pardo, and has established its studio of lighting fixtures in San Francisco. Pablo Pardo has gained international recognition for its innovative modern lighting that includes designer table lamp and home furnishings designs, which are characterized by an uncompromising devotion to simplicity and utility.

Design award for modern lighting on products: In 1993, Pardo introduced Piccola, a novel award winning leather based designer lamp and that is now part of SFMoma’s prestigious permanent collection. Piccola’s philosophy of designer lighting soon thereafter inspired a host of new designs in modern lighting which included the Sophie and Isabella designer lamps, the award winning Uno Bin, as well as the Elise and Cortina lines which are now staples in the modern lighting world. In 2000, Pablo introduced IO a revolutionary telescoping task lamp which was also awarded “Best New Product” at the NYIGF Accent on Design.
