Eero Saarinen's pedestal tables solve a particular design problem: "The underside of typical chairs and tables makes a confusing, unrestful world. I wanted to clear up the slum of legs." Indeed, Saarinen has and the result is an iconic expression of modernism that has been included in museum collections around the world. Eero Saarinen’s ability to blend color, form and materials was remarkable. The modern and extremely attractive side table is a reflection of this ability. This 20" diameter marble side pedestal table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 20" in height. Both the base and tabletop are treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains and scuffs. It is available in white carrara or black marquina marble.
