Aleure designs and manufactures rugs and brings the mystique of the ancient tradition of hand-knotted Tibetan rugs into high style and luxury. Aleure Tibetan rugs are made to order directly from the hands of the most skilled Tibetan artisans in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal using centuries old techniques. We use only the finest quality raw material: pure Tibetan wool, Chinese silk, Cashmere, Linen, Hemp and Mohair. The material is meticulously hand-carded, hand-spun, and pot-dyed with either Swiss or vegetable dyes. Every rug is masterfully hand-knotted (from 60 to 200 knots), hand-trimmed, hand-washed and hand-finished. Each rug develops a radiant patina and grows more beautiful with time as Tibetan wool’s rich lanolin creates enhanced luster and softness over the years.
We are a proud member of the Rugmark Foundation, a global non-profit working to end child labor. We guarantee that no child labor is used in our rug productions. Every Aleure rug carries the RugMark label with its own verifiable certification number. It represents Aleure’s commitment to manufacturing integrity; particularly, ending child labor, an illegal practice in the hand-knotted rug industry.
